Taking Back Sunday's 20 year anniversary tour was northing short of the celebration they intended it to be. The international tour stopped for two nights in Boston, Massachusetts, each night performing the band's 2002 album, "Tell All Your Friends" in its entirety as well as either of the following two albums: 2004's "Where You Want To Be" or 2006's "Louder Now" (determined by a coin flip mid show).
To kick off the show were openers Destry and Red City Radio. While the two bands were not so similar, they brought elements to the show that correlated with Taking Back Sunday; Destry brought the sweet, folk-esque notes, while Red City Radio brought the classic punk influences. Michelle DaRosa (Destry front woman) joined Taking Back Sunday on stage to perform her parts in "Bike Scene" and "Ghost Man on Third" for just the right nostalgic feel this 20th anniversary tour needed!
Taking Back Sunday, needless to say, sparked high crowd energy. Their charming banter on stage amongst each other - as well as with fans - gave the show an intimate feel, while front man Adam Lazzara shared memories behind sentiment songs, making for an overall heartfelt night. The room was electrified with emotions as fans watched and celebrated a huge milestone with the band they have grown up with.
