"Real Love Thursday’s at the Good Will Social Club are largely anticipated by Winnipeg’s music and art scene each month. This time around, I had the pleasure of photographing local musicians LLUX and Lounge FM in their elements.
LLUX, aka Lindsay Thomson + her Stratocaster and band, instantly made an amazing
impression to their audience with some dancy indie pop I don’t think we all realized we needed. Having just moved to Winnipeg from Kenora (a small town in Ontario), I can already tell that LLUX will be a prominent addition to our music scene, and I am very much looking forward to see what Lindsay will do next with this project. LLUX’s brand new single “ The Drive” is now available on all major streaming platforms - I highly recommend giving it a listen to get an audible idea of what went down at The Good Will this week.
Lounge FM never fails to supply us with jams they self-describe as “Friday night bath music” (or in this case, Thursday). They definitely aren’t far off there, and I mean that in the best way
possible. Their set had show-goers swaying and intrigued all the way through, while they
effortlessly released their jazzy, smooth, psychedelic and romantic energy to everyone present. Malcolm-Jay Wilson, Winnipeg based hip hop artist, also made an appearance to the stage for a couple of tracks, adding another engaging layer of artistic expression to Lounge FM’s performance. Their set concluded with their newest release 'See U Sad'."
